I spent years working directly for one of the largest solar companies in the country. I learned the business from the ground up—how systems work, what installations look like, what warranties mean. But I also saw something that bothered me: the company had to fit customers into its packages, not the other way around.

Some customers needed just battery backup. Others wanted solar with battery. Some had different budget constraints. Some prioritized warranty length. Some needed faster installation. The one-size system didn't work for everyone, and that gap stayed with me.

That's why I started Sun Capital Energy as a brokerage. I partnered with the largest solar companies in the United States—the same companies I knew and trusted—but on different terms.
